Percent Acetic Acid in Vinegar Lab

This lab was very interesting to me. Although I didn't participate because I was absent on the first day of the lab, watching the other students do the lab was really cool. The difference between the pink colors that students got was really cool, and it also helped my understanding of titrations a lot better. For the lab, we had to titrate Vinegar and KHP to find the molarity of each substance. In order to get the most accurate results, much care was involved in adding the base to the substances, as we wanted to get the exact molarity of each substance. Overall, the visual of titrations makes a lot more sense to me now.

  1. Yeah I guess it would be fun to watch us, but it really sucks because just a 1 drop difference can throw off our data. But yeah I can see how it would be fun to watch.

  2. God job explaining the lab, Kyle, even though you were't there to do the lab. Also, I agree with Ben. Getting that perfect titration is nearly impossible. To me, getting the faint pink color is a dream.
